Logitech - K740 Full-size Wired Scissor Illuminated Keyboard - Black

This will be the third Logetech Illuminated Thin Keyboard K740 I own. For me there is not a better keyboard made. A very high material quality keyboard. Only reason I am ordering a third one is because I fell asleep and dumped a coke on my old one.

I love the way this keyboard works and lights up - sometimes I have to start work early and it is dark -

This is an attractive USB keyboard, that is quite heavy, compared to other keyboards. I love the stability of the unit at my desk, and the clear plastic ring around 3/4 of the keyboard is a nice artistic addition. This keyboard functions flawlessly, but will require some manual programming for specific key assignments (e.g. zoom in /out).

I recently purchased this keyboard to replace a high end gaming keyboard with blue illumination. In weak lighting conditions, this keyboard is very easy to read and is a joy to use compared to the previous one. The illuminated letters are highly visible in whatever light level I use it in. However, there is still room for improvement in that a better font should be available to mark the keys. Some of the letters look similar (like the C and O and D) with the lettering style that was used. The keys require modest pressure to generate a character, and one gets used to the feel of the keys fairly quickly. I would prefer an adjustable level of force and a more distinctive indication that the key has been pressed all the way down. Despite my ideas of what the ultimate keyboard should be, this keyboard works well, and appears well made so it will last until technology changes require an upgrade.
