L'Oréal Paris Wrinkle Expert Face Moisturizer, 1.7 oz

I like this moisturizer a lot. I have tried all kinds, from the very expensive to the not-so-expensive. Frankly, I don't see a lot of difference between any of them. I finally settled, a few years ago, on the Olay 7 products, because they felt good on my skin, and are not expensive. When the opportunity came up to try this one, I liked the fact that I could use one cream for both day and night. After just over two weeks of using this exclusively, I will most likely stay with it. My skin feels moisturized all day, and even in our humid climate, doesn't seem to "sweat off" like other products. The smell is very pleasant, but not overly perfumed. As for the "Wrinkle Expert" aspect, I haven't noticed any significant reduction in the deeper lines around my eyes and mouth, but there has been a noticeable difference in fine lines that were starting on my cheeks and forehead. The price point of this is about the same as what I had been using, and since I can use it both day and night, I don't need a second product. A little bit of this cream goes a long way!

I was trying to wait as long as possible to give my review, simply because it states right on the box that you will see visible results in four weeks. I have noticed a difference in less then that. I truly love this cream, as it not only softens my skin, but it tends to exfoliate as well. I notice at night, after a normal day of wear and tear, my facial skin still feels very soft. I have noticed a slight reduction in fine lines, and even though it doesn't claim to do so, I find the dark spots are diminishing some. I can't tell you how many bottles of creams I have gone through to get these results. I had a rough, discolored patch over my eyebrow, and now it's almost gone. I use to smoke, and the lines around my mouth are not as obvious. This cream is wonderful. Another wonderful thing about this cream, is, you can use it for both day and night applications. You don't need two separate products, that this one can do. I highly recommend this crème to anyone. It states for 55+, but if you are experiencing signs of aging, I would start this regimen now.

Although I have used many of Lo'real's products over the years, I was rather impressed by the effectiveness of this wrinkle cream. I find it to be a great product for the price. although the amount actually in the Jar is some what less than the size of the box it comes in might indicate... it is good to notice on the side of the box, the 'actual size' of the jar inside. Having said that, it is a very creamy cream that makes the skin feel nourished, and actually absorbs rather quickly, so as to have a non-greasy , soft finish. It does make the skin feel protected, as our skin thins with age, and loses density. This "Wrinkle Expert" anti-wrinkle intensive care moisturizer (for day and night) does seem to improve the look and feel of the skin, and seems to makes wrinkles less noticable, or prominent. For most of us ladies who are over 55, (in my case WAY over 55) this is a major feat! I think we have a winner here, folks! The daily regimen is simple, also. Rather than many steps, all you need to do is simply cleanse your skin, and then moisturize. How easy is that?

While it is hard to scientifically prove a wrinkle/moisturizer product is effective or not is difficult by an individual. However, it does feel immediately like the skin tightens after application. Even a little bit of tightening goes a long way at this stage of life! But not just the tightening qualities, L'Oreal has added calcium to this product to help strengthen older skin. Their statement for this product is that it "Visibly reduces signs of aging including wrinkles, sagging contours, and density loss." Another mention is that it has a pleasant and light scent. It smells great by itself and I'm sure would not conflict with perfume or cologne. I mention it only so that you can look for anything that you are allergic to or don't want on your face and body. We can assume that a great company like L'Oreal has done their best to make sure that the product works and is not harmful in any way to the human body. I can not prove that this product has reversed the aging process of my face and neck, I do feel better using this modestly priced product to help slow or stop further aging. For under $10 from Walmart, it is worth a try!

I have delayed in writing this review to allow for a realistic account of my experience with this cream. My first impression was that it felt greasy on my face. I thought that with tie I would become accustomed to that texture. I have not. It still feels greasy n my skin, and takes a long time to be absorbed no matter what the quantity I apply. Also, I see no difference in the appearance of any facial lines. I generally use a well -known “ultra healing” body lotion on my face, with better results, and would not recommend this cream in any comparison test. However, to say it has no effect at all for a person that has used no other lotion or cream previously would not be true. Therefore I have rated it as average.
