My natural color is a drab 6A. I've been coloring it darker for several years now. After using Superior Preference 4A for a year, I tried this product because I liked the red tones, which are hard to find in a cooler, darker shade. I love the color results, which were very close to the box. The product was easy to use and left my hair healthy and shiny. I also liked that it was non permanent, since I'm planning to go a little lighter for summer. Unlike most other brands/types of dye, this one has some really pretty cooler toned 6 shades with nice red/auburn notes that will work great for me.
I was recently a campus rep for the L'Oreal Healthy Look Creme Gloss, and I loved it then. I thought it was just fine for a hair color and after handing out all of the samples to UofA students I kept a dark brown color for myself to try again for a later time. I didn't know at the time, that it was going to save me from the worst hair disaster of my life. I recently went into a salon asking for a honey golden brown color. The idiot stylist gave me dark brown hair with bleach blonde highlights. I went to a different salon to try and get it corrected. My highlights were maybe a shade darker, but my hair was still looking awful. So I broke out the dark brown Healthy Look and it covered everything up no problem, AND helped with the damage the bleach caused. Never using anything else but L'Oreal ever again. If the pros can't even do what the Healthy Look did, why pay so much more for hair care? L'Oreal, my hair owes you it's life!!
I "L~O~V~E" this hair color. It does NOT damage my hair & the color blends well. I can't believe I have finally found something that I like & it is not damaging my hair. I did not have any "Orangish Color" afterwards. I was talking to a lady at the store yesterday (while I was getting 2 boxes of this hair color), she loved my color & she ended up buying 2 boxes also.... Her comments made me feel really good about my choice in hair color! Thank You~~~~
I was a bit hesitant after reading reviews on this product. I previously had my hair really light blonde and wanted to go darker for fall. Since it's supposed to last a month I figured why not. I loved the fact that it didn't burn my scalp, or smell really bad. It was fast and easy to apply. It came out a pretty color, but I did choose a lighter shade than I wanted. So keep that in mind. It's darker than medium blonde but a bit lighter than dark blonde on the first day.
My hair as its natural state is a slightly darkish golden brown. I wanted a small change for Autumn, I just wanted to be a darker shade of what I already was. So I bought 4G Dark Golden Brown. I even did the online color evaluation and it said it was perfect for me. I felt a little suspicious that it looked auburny, but other online reviews said it didn't turn out too red. Unfortunately, not the case for me. :( This has FAR too much auburn tint to be called "golden." Sorry.
