M-D Building Products 03509 25 ft. Transparent Weatherseal Tape for Windows & Vents

Learned about this from a Bob Vila episode and ordered it immediately. I have newer vinyl windows but they still leak air around them. I was actually able to slice the tape down the roll long ways and make twice as much at an inch wide, which is plenty. Clean the window first and it sticks so well! Its already made a difference in the comfort of the house. Very pleased to find this! I hope it comes off as cleanly as stated.

I was able to get to try this weather seal tape and it is quite amazing. It sticks and seals unlike another brand that I tried that kept unsticking within an hour. It's supposed to protect up to minus ten but let's hope it never gets that cold in Florida. I like this tape and will continue to use it in my future endeavors.

I use this to secure wrapped packages in my freezer. In the low temps, humidity and frost of the freezer, it holds like a charm and never detaches. No doubt it would hold up to harsh weather for windows. Great product.

It looks like regular tape but it's much thicker and you will need a scissors or knife to cut it. I am using it on my French doors that I don't open in the winter but want to try and keep some draft out . It's transparent so it doesn't stick out unless someone tries to go open it. I also plan to use it in the summer to set up the window ac unit. If you have a cracked window i would definitely recommend it for that. It seems very sturdy for a project like that. A good item to have on hand.

The adhesive on this is really good and it holds on to whatever you put it on with a lot of strength. We have some older windows in our house and know that there is leaked around them. This is a good temporary measure to solve that problem until we replace them.
