Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. Cup magnets are magnets inset into steel cups that assist in mounting and increase their holding force. They are commonly used in holding applications where they are attached to a surface with a countersunk screw. These countersunk cup ring magnets are one half inch outside diameter, 0.132 inch inside diameter and 0.165 inch thick. They are magnetized through the thickness. They are composed of grade forty neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Maximum working temperature is one hundred seventy six degrees Fahrenheit . Magnets may chip and crack if allowed to snap together. WARNING: Keep out of reach of children. This is NOT a toy.
