Made very cheaply. Not nearly as good as the original. Many of the letters on the block inside are whited out, making the words unreadable. When you turn the 8-ball over, the words never come up straight. You have to keep tilting the ball until you can finally read it. Not worth the money. So disappointed.

My daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, had quite a bit of fun with this. She enjoyed shaking it and I used voices to read out the individual sayings which made her giggle each time. Tactially it's a great product for those on the spectrum. It held her interest for a decent amount of time, and while she hasn't returned to it yet I imagine we'll play with it again. I don't know that it will become a favored toy, but I do believe it will be an engaging one for her periodically. My husband and I even had some fun returning to this great classic! Overall, the 8 ball is well made and a fun product that you can engage in with your kiddo. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This product more than met my expectations. I didn't really know how my six-year-old was going to like it. It seemed a far cry from the high-tech toys he is accustomed to...it almost seemed too simple, in fact (which is exactly what I loved about it). Apparently, he agreed with me, because we have had hours upon hours of silly, crazy, giggle-ly fun. My only complaint is I wished we had one sooner. My son takes this everywhere we go. He loves asking the ball questions. He is asking everyone else to ask questions. I love it because he is practicing reading. The ball is very durable. My son has dropped it several times with only minor dings. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My 6 year old son enjoyed asking the Magic 8 Ball questions on a recent car trip. He really liked asking questions and looking for the response. He couldn't read all the responses but that didn't stop him. It was fun for us parents too. Sometimes it was hard to read the response because of how the response landed in the ball.
