Magic Chef 1.6 cu. ft. Top Load Portable Washer

I love this little washing machine! It does all my clothes and linens and offers multiple water levels. I've had it for about 4 years, and it's still going strong. The one thing that does irritate me is that as time goes on, at the end of the rinse cycle, each load of clothes becomes more and more tangled up, almost braided together. If you don't get them out quickly and shake each piece, you will have a lot of wrinkles unless you put them in a dryer instead of hanging them to dry. Otherwise, as I said, I LOVE this little thing!

Washes clothes better than the old machine. Spins everything so good, they're almost dry when you take it out. It's quiet, and I was able to hook it up to existing machine machine hookups (in a closet). Well worth the money!!

This purchase was intended to supplement my high-end fancy main washer which I found out has exploding issues and I'm using this until I figure that out. This does a very nice job on normal stuff that accumulates during the week. Not meant for bedspreads and large heavy items like blankets but you might be able to do one at a time. It's quiet, moves on the concealed back wheels pretty easily with my 180lb frame pushing it but a less sturdy person will struggle a bit unless you get a dolly for it. It's perfect for a small family or small space and it looks good and seems to be made well enough. It cleans very well, has awesome spin cycle, and I'm impressed overall, but can't give it five stars because of a design flaw that allows it to leak under certain conditions. Most full-size washers have a rubbery flexible collar to fill the necessary motion gap between the tub assembly which jiggles around, and the top lid section that is fixed. This collar prevents water from splashing over the gap and into the body of the machine and then onto your floor. It doesn't happen every time, usually only with smaller loads which tend to be splashier, opposite what you might think. It's not much, just a couple tablespoons when it has happened. If you have tile or vinyl you'll be ok, just be ready with a couple paper towels. If you have hardwood floors, I'd put something under it. If it weren't for the great price I paid, this would be three stars.
