Mainstays Shooting Star Quilt Collection, 1 Each

The quilt is light weight and pretty much what I wanted, except for the color. I wanted the bright red as shown in the photo, but that color is closer to burgundy, no where near as bright.

Be sure to order the shams! They are listed separately as single items. I got two, and they are very generously sized for standard shams and pretty on the bed so I may order a few more. First the pros: The price for this quilt was very, very reasonable. This Shooting Star quilt arrived ahead of schedule and was nicely packaged. I noticed coming out of the box the red wasn't quite as cherry-red as it looked on my monitor but still all the colors are beautiful. It seems well made, not too heavy and not too light but a very good all season bed covering. Cons: As expected, it barely covers the top of my king-sized bed. But so it goes with almost every comforter or quilt I can find for an affordable price. I'm not sure of the exact measurements, but if you turn the quilt one way on a king size there is enough to cover the sides and end of the mattress, and will just barely cover the top edge. Because of the cotton content I won't be tossing this in the dryer, to avoid shrinkage. Overall a terrific, good looking bargain I would recommend to anyone.

This is not really a quilt ( design is printed on material ) but it sure looks like a Real handmade quilt. Beautiful colors and good size, I ordered the King just to be sure, I use it as a cover for my futon. Haven't washed it yet so don't know how that will turn out. For the price it's a great deal.
