Mainstays Wi Hardwood 14x14 Wood Chopping Block

This is well worth the money. It is thick and has pegs in the bottom. You can move it anywhere and it does not move at all. Love it ordering a second one so I can use it as a cheese board.

I got this for my shower on June 6, 2015. I used it two times and it split all the way through the wood. About 4 inches long. I wanted this board because all my other cutting boards eventually crack and was hoping being so thick it wouldn't. WRONG. Huge crack with splitting wood. Also it warped after the first wash. (hand washed and dried!) Do not buy this. I have a picture but I am not sure if you can upload on here. Waste of money!

The best money I have spent in years!

I was looking for a good cutting board/chopping block that would stand up over time. I had started by looking at a counter-top sized chopping block for $400 but wound up buying this one for $24. This is working out just fine! It is big enough to do the cutting/chopping we need and yet small enough we can place it on its side and move it to the side of the counter when not in use. Be aware, it is a bit heavy. However, for an end-grain cutting board this is very good. Be prepared to pour a lot of mineral oil on this block. It is really thirsty! Maybe a whole 12 ounce bottle. I used most of a 12 oz bottle when we first received it. My guess is that this is a combination of American hardwoods. This is why they don't specify which hardwood it is. Probably doesn't matter too much. It seems to work just fine!

I bought this for the size. But after washing it off after the first use it bowed up in the middle a little. And it smells really bad, no amount of soap will get the smell out. Thinking about taking it back.
