These are for my granddaughter, and they were fairly easy to prepare on our home computer, using the Martha Steward website. Like another shopper, we put a piece of colored paper behind the eyelet to make it 'pop'. I had them delievered to our home, and they arrived very quickly.
My daughter loved the eyelet lace but wanted something a little more substantial and unique for her invitations. We backed the lacey invites with aqua paper (her wedding color), punched slits near the top of both pages using a tool from a craft store, and tied the pages together using a sheer ribbon. We LOVED the result. The aqua paper shows through the lace and brings color to the otherwise black and white invites. The sheer ribbon feels fancier than the grossgrain bows that come with the kit. It was a little putzy but 120 intives took three people about an hour to assemble. PS, the kit, and supplies to personalize still cost us far less than the fancy kits looked elsewhere. :D
I would recommend these invitations to anyone who does not want to spend hundreds of dollars on invitations but still wants something nice. Overall these worked great, and were very easy to print myself. I had no problems with the invitations once I changed my printer settings from "Letter" to "Custom" and put in the measurements. The response cards gave me a little trouble - a few of them did not want to feed through my printer easily, I think the eyelet holes might have been getting caught. In the end I did get them printed, but I was glad I had a few more than I needed or I would have not had enough. They do give you blank sheets to practice on so you can make sure everything is lined up correctly before you print on the actual invitations so that is great! I did not use the little white bows that came with the invitations, I personally did not like the look of them. I added some little yellow paper flowers just to give them a personal touch and a burst of color.
The product overall is a good one for those on a budget, but I encountered these problems: I chose the option to have the script centered on the invitation but was slightly off to one side and it was a job to correct this; the eyelet on 3 cards was torn and about 4 more were not completely punched through; and the eyelet kept getting hung up on the printer. I was hoping for a fast way to do invitations and this was not it.
We used this product for Wedding Invitations. I got so many compliments on them!! The website with the instructions were amazingly simple!
