Mass Effect (Xbox 360)

I've quickly become addicted to this game. It plays well. It's an RPG, but a Real-Time RPG. You can pause the game momentarily during battles to change weapons or to use a power, but otherwise, it's real-time. BioWare is an awesome developer, and have done well with this game. The graphics are well-done, and the story is engaging. I've read that it's the first of a trilogy. I can't wait for the sequels!!!

This game Is very good. The story is 10/10, and although the combat isn't like halo or other games...the story makes up for that, and either way, it's not thee kind of game that is supposed to have good combat, it is designed to get you hooked on the story, which it has done for me, and the combat isn't "bad" i would still give it a 6/10 in combat, and overall i would rate it 9/10.

I ask my boss if this game is alright and he told me it was great. The game play is alright....I found the story line great. You can customise your character's apperance and modify your fire arms, armor, and ammo. so if you are into rpgs then get it.

I am one who reads video game magazines and looks foreward to the relase of up and coming, very anticipated videogames. Mass Effect had huge hype going for it months before its relase. I am convinced the developers studio, BioWare, makes excellent games, such as the Knights of the Old Republic franchise and Jade Empire. But when i got Mass Effect, I was a little underwhelmed at first. Thinking that i might get more into the game i played it for about a total of 15 hours. I made it about half way through the game and figured, I just truly didnt enjoy playing it. The battle system feels dry, leveling is kinda werid and i really cant get into the story. Dont get me wrong, the game looks amazing, but its not enought to keep me playing the mediocre monstrosity that is Mass Effect

This game is awesome. It's short enough that you don't have to lose too many weeks of your life to it, and long enough to have a great storyline. The way your simple choices in dialogue determine the storyline is fantastic! And the characters are really believable. Controls were hard for me to get used to at first, but that's probably because it's the first game I've really gotten into on the 360. I've also never played any other games (the Star Wars ones) by this company, so I would have been utterly lost without the manual. So keep it close at hand! The graphics are pretty great! There's some slight slowdown at times, but never enough to impede gameplay. The only thing I took issue with is that in some cinematics, the textures wouldn't fully load until a few seconds into the scene, so you'd see blobby characters and blocky environments. Overall, one of the best games I've ever played. I bought it with a Christmas gift card and I'm so glad I did! I recommend Mass Effect highly!
