Maybelline Total Temptation Eyeshadow and Highlight Palette

I love the peach eyeshadow. One of the best base shades I own. These eyeshadows are so blendable. I gravitate to the peachy side but the rose tones are lovely too. The shimmer powders included are a nice bonus.

I'm fairly new to using eyeshadow regularly, so I bought this to help work myself into it. I've seen a ton of mixed reviews on this, but it's my favorite of the palettes I have, as well as the one I use most- though that's mostly due to the fact that this palette comes with step by step instructions on the back. The colors are gorgeous and though I haven't used the purple ones so much, the peachy shadows are stunning on. The shadows are pretty powdery and do have fallout, but I don't have any issue with it personally. They blend super easily, and I love how they look on. They do wear off a little easily, but with the proper setting spray mine stayed all day. The shimmery colors do take a wet brush to bring out the full color and the matte shades sometimes take more than one application but the payoff is well worth it. The highlights are also gorgeous and I love how there's one for each eye look. The purple one is especially gorgeous, but I prefer the gold shade for my daily look. I definitely believe it's worth the price, I absolutely love this palette.

I've only been able to use the left side of this palette due to lack of pigmentation with the right side. Now I love the color scheme obviously! The issue is that there is so much fallout with these. I use nyx eyeshadow primer prior to use. The primer works even with most drug store brand eyeshadows. I not only have to wet my brush but i use several layers of the colors just to get the colors to pop. Definitely did not show up on my eyes the way they swatched on my arm. The glitter specks in the highlighters are way too huge and noticeable. I really thought this was going to be a hood palette..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed this eye shadow palette l! The colors are rich and easy to blend for a smokey eye. It is long lasting and very easy to apply. The formula did not clump at all or run. Even after sleeping on it, it looks good the next morning. I definitely would recommend and purchase.
