Mayne Fairfield 35.6" x 20" x 20" Rectangle White Self-Watering Plastic Plant Planter

I knew they were made from polyethylene, but the description made them sound like they would have more of a wood look than they actually did. I thought they looked inexpensive and more like plastic than wood. The watering system inside was cool, but the aesthetics were not right for my front entranceway. Unfortunately, I am stuck with them though because Gardeners doesn't pay for return shipping and the cost for return shipping for both was $90 since they are oversized. Will have to attempt to sell on Craig's List or something. Customer Service was very nice about it, but there wasn't anything they could do and honestly that makes me less likely to order from Gardeners again : (

I purchased this product because I needed a container for my herbs and I didn't want to water them everyday. This has worked out perfectly. It holds a lot of water so they have never been dry even in 90 plus degree heat. It's easy to water with the hole in the back corner with a pop on and off lid. It is very sturdy and well built. I would say this is a top of the line window box for sure. I would purchase this product again and probably will for other plants soon.

This is the 4th I've bought and I love them. I travel on business a lot and my outdoor flowers look great! no watering needed. I still have those I bought 6 years ago- I leave them outdoors all winter. very sturdy and the color doesn't fade. Well worth the money!

We purchased two of these planters in the bright blue, and they really set off the entrance to our house. Our plan is to use them year-round with a rotating selection of plants. Red Geraniums and yellow Lantana were our summer selections (a Superman garden?) and Johnny Jump Ups are on tap for the fall and winter. Beautiful design and execution. Thanks Gardener's Supply!

Although instructions provide method for drilling a drain hole to prevent too much water to accumulate in the water reservoir, no drain plug towards the bottom is provided which would assist draining at end of season. I installed a IGLOO drain plug which solved that problem.
