I bought a small amount to test this product at the advise of my doctor; however due to my inability to open the package I never was able to use the recommended amount. I inadvertently crushed the pills, lost a few attempting to extract them. I am going to experiment with a liquid version..

It works really well but, plan ahead to have good scissors around to open the package. For something like diahrrea, you would think this would be easy to run and get to, that is not the case. The little line where you're supposed to tear open, is not tearable in any way upon close inspection. You need to cut one side near the pill, while making sure not to crush the pill (have had that happen thrice so far), nor that the pill will pop out rolling away into the abyss (twice), and that you cut enough to be able to pull at the indestructible backing to get to the pill. Is this backing material used in the military? I don't see how this was approved by anyone. I literally can tear bookboard apart with my own hands and open the toughest jars but, these little packages have torn open the skin on my fingers with 0 progress to reach the pill.

The plastic packaging is very hard to open, the box says “to use scissors if necessary” that is the only way I can get to the caplet and even then I have to dig it out of the plastic. When you're sick with diarrhea the last thing you want to do is fight to get into the caplet that will give you relief. Go back to the drawing board and come up with a better plan, please!

Impossible to open. Need to be in a bottle. Ruined many manicures trying to open. Switched to a generic brand because of this issue. Why won't you put them in a bottle so the elderly can get them open? When on the road don't have scissors handy (especially on an airplane) The pills should be easy to get at for emergencies. Product works well once it's out of the pack

Best product I've used! To QC Department: Instructions says to TEAR AT NOTCH just does not work because the notch is not connected to the edge. I had to use scissors to continue the notch to the edge, once it was connected I was able to tear it open and get the caplet out. Looks like the machine that puts the notch into the plastic needs adjusted. The packaging manufacture's QC Department needs to be notified of this problem.
