As part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, I was given these Disposable Nursing Pads to try. I typically use washable nursing pads. I've tried a few types of disposable pads in the past, and which were quite bulky, so I was very excited to try an ultra thin option. Right out of the box, I was impressed by Safe & Dry Ultra Thin Disposable Nursing Pads. They are very thin, super soft to the touch, and have a unique shape that allows them to be hidden beneath nursing camis and bras. I tried the nursing pads for both day and night wear. Overall, I found them to be okay, but better than the disposable nursing pads that I've tried in the past. Things I liked: -The surface of the nursing pads were very soft, especially for a disposable pad. -Because they are not perfectly round like most others, they do not peek out at the top of nursing bras or camis. -The adhesive backing helped to hold them in place. -They were quite absorbent. I did not experience any leaks while wearing them. -They have a bit of a crease to help better fit the shape of your breast, which is nice compared to other flat nursing pads. Things I wasn't crazy about: -The crease, which made them more comfortable, was quite visible under clothing -The edges of the nursing pads were not soft. They were almost sharp if they hit against the skin at the right angle. -They seemed to bunch up while wearing them overnight. -The pads are embossed with a circle in the center with 4 lines extending diagonally out. I found this to be uncomfortable. I would recommend these to someone who is looking for a disposable nursing pad. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I just had my 2nd son a few months ago and I am again exclusively breastfeeding. My breastfeeding journey with my first son lasted a year with the first 2 months of which he was in the NICU. So you can imagine with him I tried every nursing pad on the market. Each one was either too bulky or didn't stick efficiently. When I finally settled on a nursing pad with my first son it was the Medala pads but they were still a little bulky in my opinion. So I was excited to receive the notice I was getting to try the new Medela product. I was hoping they had improved on an already pretty decent product and they have! You get the protection of the old product with a much similar design. These will definitely be my go to nursing pad. My only regret is not having them in the early months of breastfeeding when I was really having leaking problems. Thank you to weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me these nursing pads to try and review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I received the Safe & Dry Ultra Thin Disposable Nursing Pads from weeSpring Parent Panel to try out. The pads were very obsorbant and kept me dry. I also found them to be discreet and undectable underneath my clothing. The kept my clothes dry from any leaks and were very comfortable. I found them to be soft and not irritating against my skin. The only thing that I would change about the product is that I would like them to have been a little bigger to cover a larger area in my bra. Infound that they were a little small and I would occasionally have to readjust them to cover the right area for protection.
I was given this Disposable Nursing Pads to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. My baby is 4 months old and only drinks breastmilk. I personally do not leak milk very much so I do not know if they would be 100% effective on someone who has leaky breasts. I find that any moisture is quickly absorbed and it does not feel wet on my skin at any point. At night when I take them off, the moisture feels dry and a bit hard. On days that I do not feel the hardness, I continue using the pads. The pads are soft and comfortable on my skin - I hardly feel them throughout the day. I find these Medella pads to be smaller than the average nursing pad which was a good thing since they are equally as effective as other brands, so why not have them smaller? 1-2 hours after putting them on, the pads soften a bit and take the shape of my breast and bra. At that point it is very hard for outsiders to notice them. In my opinion, the biggest downside to these pads (which wasn't even so bad!) was that they were individually wrapped. I found it annoying to unwrap the individually wrapped pads every time I needed a new one. To summarize, I am very happy with these pads, although I did not find them amazingly superior to others that I've used.
As the mother of a three month old baby, who pumps 6-8 times a day, I feel there are three important things to keep in mind when selecting a nursing pad- are they discreet, do they prevent leaks, and are they comfortable. I was given a sample of the Medela Safe and Dry Disposable Nursing Pads to try as part of a Wee Spring parent panel and they checked off all three criteria. The pads are very discreet. Their shape, which isn't a perfect circle, and the way the pads concave, makes them fit in the bra cup well. The backing has stickers to keep them in place. Unfortunately, the stickers can leave a little residue when removed but it's always been taken care of in the washing machine. I've never noticed the nursing pad under my clothes. The pads are also individual packed, folded in half, making it easy to fit in your pocket. (The wrapping also keeps them clean.) I've never had a leak while using these pads. They're very absorbent and have a side panel to keep milk in. I don't consider myself to be a a heavy leaker, but I have used these pads in my bra while using pumping cups that can leak if you move around too much. They were more than capable of drying off my nipple area after pumping and absorbing any minor spills I've had. They are comfortable too. I typically have them in for 12+ hours a day, and while they aren't the softest I've used, I've never been irritated by the pad or been uncomfortable.
