Very sturdy, lightweight, and easily foldable for transportation. Very useful accessories.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is a wonderful piece of equipment. The feature that we like best is that it is both a wheelchair and a walker. The transition is easy and because it is so light, it is super easy to get out of the back of the SUV. The best feature is that one only has to be in possession of one piece of equipment rather than a wheelchair and a walker. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants value for their purchases.
PROs: Easy to assemble, great maneuverability, easy to open and fold, compact when folded, and light weight (I'm petite and only 5'2"). It's design allows you to sit up close and comfortably at a restaurant table. Fits through a 30" doorway even with the door swinging into the room, leaving just a 28" opening. CONs: The arm rests are too short to be comfortable when being used as a transporter. The back rest does flip, but NOT as pictured. The user will most likely want to walk around the chair to sit comfortably and then walk around the chair again to push and use it as a rollator. I called to get a fix for the back rest problem, but I was told, "The back rest will always be at an [uncomfortable] angle when sitting in the rollator position." It's a design flaw. So there is no useful purpose in having the back rest flip, since the transport position is the only position if you want back support. With that said, you are left with a transport that offers a large and bulky rollator alternative. It's impractical as a rollator for everyday household use because one of my bathrooms is too small (door can't be shut with it in the room) and the other bathroom is too narrow for the rollator. SUMMARY: Great for a short outing, but not practical for every day use.
Delivered quickly, well packed and the few things we had to put on only took a few minutes. Large comfortable seat. This is a VERY WELL made walker wheelchair. It folds more compact then the walker with a seat I now have. I bought this to taken on a plane and go on a cruise. It's one of the largest ships and I know I can't walk from end to end to see everything. This solved that problem.
So glad I got this combination transport chair and walker - wish I had gotten it sooner! It is a very smooth ride and sturdy too. I didn't give it 5 stars for two reasons: 1) as a walker, it is a little too wide for me to maneuver (but it's manageable) and it's a slight bit "wobbly" - I assume this is due to the way it folds; and 2) for me, it is difficult to hold on to something or swing it around to use it as a walker, but that;s just where I get a little help in steadying myself. I can definitely put up with those two things as it really gives me the freedom I need! Previously, my husband would push me in the transport chair whereas I couldn't go into a dressing room or ladies room. Now I can go anywhere on my own or take a rest and get pushed:) This new walker/chair has a comfortable seat and backrest. The 2 pouches and cup holder are wonderful additions. I really like that the footrests are adjustable. I'm 5'7" and am comfortable with the feet positioned at the lowest setting. And the feet can be locked to the side so they are not in the way. I compared this to all others listed and am glad I chose this one and I think you will too!
