Medline ReadyBath Freshly Scented Rinse-Free Shampoo and Conditioning Cap

I wanted to try this cap because I have arthritis and some days I have a hard time doing things. I thought that this cap was not going to work well, but it was very helpful for me. I have problems with my hands and legs, and by the shampoo and conditioner being already inside the cap,that helped with me being on my legs for the full time. I was able to heat the cap in the microwave and sit in the chair by the sink and do the rubbing and messaging of the hair products that are in the cap. I only had to stand when rinsing it out. It has a nice smell and it lathers well. It left my hair in a soft feel and a nice smell. It stayed full of the product until you were done with it. It takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to wash my hair and it held up to that task. Good job.

I had planned to save my Medline ReadyBath Shampoo Cap for my upcoming camping this weekend. THEN, my daughter broke her arm. She was unable to bathe in the shower for 24 hours. Thank heaven for this product. It is as easy as the package promised. Heating the cap in the microwave made for a very comfortable experience for both of us. It got her hair clean very gently. A little fragrance would be nice, but if you intend to use it on someone who is home bound, I can understand why it contains none. For the convenience alone, I recommend the shampoo cap. I will still get one for camping over the weekend. I am well pleased.

The Medline ReadyBath Shampoo Cap, comes with the cap already having shampoo in it. You would just have to wet your hair and place the cap on. It says a minimal of 15 minutes but I had to keep it on 30 minutes longer do to my hair type. I think the manufactures didn't take this into mind when making this product. I believe it would be good with someone who has thin hair or a child's hair. Someone with thick, long natural hair really would not be shampooing at all. The only way I would recommend this to any one is by the type of hair they may have.

It is really just like a shower cap with a nice moist lining. The cap seemed an ample size for longer hair as well. I tried this on myself with moderately dirty hair. I found that the moisture in the cap was generous. I actually had a bit of moisture dripping down my face. That was a pleasant surprise. The plastic on the outside of the cap was strong enough for a really good finger scrub without tearing. The packaging indicated that it contained fragrance and conditioner. I didn't really notice the "fragrance" but it certainly was not unpleasant. I usually need a conditioner on my hair, so I was hoping that would be successful as well. Unfortunately, the reason this received 3 stars was the outcome. You leave this "shampoo" in. This is the "benefit" of using for an invalid or for camping or roughing it. The problem was that when dry, my hair felt limp and heavy and looked dull. Sort of felt "dirtier" than before the shampoo. Too much conditioner I would say. Because of that, I wanted to really wash my hair again immediately, but I let it dry to just complete the results for this review. Given the fact I personally have not seen a similar product out there myself, is the reason I would recommend it to a friend. But I would tell the about the conditioner issue. The easy application without needing a water source or a bunch of towels is a nice one. It's a toss up on this depending on your situation and/or needs.

I thought I would try this out just to see how it works. It works well enough for someone who absolutely can't get out of bed to get a shower but otherwise I wouldn't use it. I took it camping since I had nowhere to take a shower and wash my hair and it served it's purpose. Can't really style hair afterwards.
