Mega Bloks American Girl Grace s 2-In-1 Buildable Home

Our daughter received this as a Christmas present. My husband started to put it together on Christmas Day and I started to help him. After five hours I was able to rebuild what my husband had started. The only thing I wish the instructions had were either better instruction or label the pieces somehow to make sure the exact part is placed so a do over would not have to take place two hours into the build. The brown floor should have better description on it to insure the set is built with the correct pieces. Because this happened it took us longer to build the set that normal. Other than than our seven year old daughter loves playing with the set and we loved helping build it.

I just put this together and the details are amazing, they beat LEGOS by a country mile, I mean the toilet bowl has a lid and there are real curtains. Only bad side about it is that the bags are not numbered and you pretty much have to dump all the bags in a box and “go fishing” for the pieces you need, but you can make that into a whole separate game, like hidden object. Also, unlike LEGOs, the quality of the blocks are not as solid and can be quite difficult to attach. But overall, I love the miniatures included and hope that they make other sets like this! I bought this set as a Christmas gift for my 11year old daughter. My daughter asked for a Lego house set for Christmas but the price for it was out of the question. I spotted this American Girl set and wondered about its quality and construction. I have bought Mega Bloks in the passed for my son when he was into building sets and vowed I would never again purchase another set. The instructions were so bad I through the sets in the garbage. That was about 10 years ago. Seeing the company name change to Mega Contrux and reading good reviews for this American Girl set I wondered if they had made some improvements. When I saw this set for 60% off I decided to give them one more try. Well, I have to say I spent many hours side by side with my daughter putting this set together and the instructions were simple and easy to follow. This is a beautiful house when put together with lots of attention to detail and more importantly, my daughter was able to read the instructions with ease. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking for a quality product. Oh and yes it's possible to take it apart and build a second product! How great is that! This was a wonderful purchase and I will definitely be adding more American Girl sets to my daughters collection.

I bought this for my daughter's 8th Birthday. It was on sale. We love Legos and I've used Mega Bloks once before with a Barbie set. The directions are quite confusing! All different bags and they're not labeled. I'm building a fireplace and you would think all the pieces to the fireplace would be in that ONE bag. I'm 33 years old and my head is spinning! They are extremely difficult to snap together. I questioned myself several times if it was the right piece! Super cute, daughter loves it, but sweet Jesus this is no Lego set.

When creating this structure pieces weren't in the right places and were scattered around as if the pieces were randomly placed into the bags.The set also was confusing and stressful as my daughter gave up and started getting stressed which shouldn't be happening when creating a kids toy set.
