Melissa & Doug - Space Voyage - jigsaw puzzle - 48 pieces

We do love Melissa and Doug's toys but I have to say that the quality of this particular puzzle is not that good. We got this puzzle just yesterday. The picture is nice and colorful. We played with it only a couple of times. But this puzzle is already splintering and the paper picture is peeling right off of some puzzle pieces. :-(

My three year old granddaughter started working this when she was two. We would take apart the rocket part and do it, or the earth, or one of the other planet sections. She was gradually able to do the whole puzzle by the time she was three. It takes some instruction to teach them to lift the pieces so they come apart and go together, unlike some other puzzles that you can slide together, these can't slide next to each other, they must be lifted apart or sat down on each other.

I bought this for my nephew as a christmas gift and love it! It is very durable and my nephew loves it. I would highly recommend it.
