Memorex MVUC821 - DVD LCD TV kitchen clock radio

Very compact unit, easy to install, has lots of features but lacks super color quality. Ready for the digital age has an easy way to setup the tuner to the channels in your area. It is a great value for the money. It comes with all the necessary hardware to make all required connections. I wish it had more than 3 months warranty.

I really enjoy the tv. I wanted it in my kitchen so I could see what I was watching while I was cooking, not just listen to the one in the living room. It has a great picture and sound. I get pretty good reception for the radio and I live in an area that doesn't get good reception on any of the other radios in the house. I purchased a cordless transmitter so I didn't have to run cable wires all across the house. It was also very easy to install under the cabinet. I would definetly recommend this tv.

Purchased this product, and on the 3rd day it would no longer turn on! Returned it to the store for another, out of the box it had a major defect: the DVD/CD player sounded like an airplane taking off- obviously the assembly was rubbing against something as it rotated-and it failed to recognize any DVD's or CD's! No wonder it was discounted from $234 to $84 dollars...but it isn't even worth that! By the way, the manufacturer (Memorex) was NO help; they wanted ME to pay to return it to them; only then would they send a replacement! Most other repudable brands send a prepaid label to return defective items under warrenty. Stay away from Memorex!

I purchased this as a gift for my wife. It replaces a similar unit that failed. First of all, the mounting hardware provided doesn't account for cabinet front over hanging the bottom of the cabinet. Be prepared for some creative mounting solutions. The picture quality is very bad and adjustments do little to help. The auto tune feature worked well. It tuned in nore stations (outside antenna) than any of my other TV's. Unfortunately selecting a specific channel to watch is cumbersome and frustrating. The overall sound is OK for a unit of this size but adjusting to the various listening settings doesn't cange the tone at all. The DVD player is hit and miss at best. I haven't tried the radio but my expectations are not very high given the performance of the other features.

I received this as a gift. I think it's wonderful! Easy to install, reception on the radio a little iffy. But watching a movie on the screen was bright and clear. CD's sound wonderful not sure about the tv waiting to get cable hooked up but so far I am very satisfied.
