Mens Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof Hiking Boot

Failed its purpose, keep feet dry! Was walking on a busy sidewalk after a 2-3 inch snowfall & moisture leaked in, soaked inside sole & sock, no - it was not sweat. It started at the right shoe, bottom left side of heel then both shoes inside soles. Lots of tread left on bottom. Shoes didn't dry out for days. This is the product description, inside label B13970-231. Sales receipt from dept store says "Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof Men's Hiking Boots". I should get a refund. Get with the program guys, apply legit product descriptions, maybe "waterproof for a very brief & light rain, very shallow puddles only". Why would anyone seal a rubber sole to leather & call it waterproof / soak proof. I do not recommend this shoe to my friends or for re-purchase.

Shoe Color and comfort is really good. I got wide size range which is very comfortable, keeping my legs warm. Not having great grip on the ice but overall satisfying purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered a size 11 Wide, but as soon as I saw them I could tell they would not fit, they were too narrow. I wish Columbia would create actual wide-fitting shoes, because the design and construction looks excellent, they just don't fit wide feet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 4th Columbia boot in last 3 years and never dissatisfied with the quality. In general only downside for this brand boots is they are low on cushioning esp. for long hikes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered the wide. Says wide on the tongue. Not wide shoe. Same tight fit as normal width but shoe is stiffer than a mesh type hiker. Hurt feet within minutes. Sending back.
