I was not happy because I have been buying these pants for the last 10 years and have always purchased the same size 3232. Did this time as well but couldn't even button 2 of the pairs and one was very snug. I have noticed this with pairs in the past, but they have always been on the bigger side so I just delt with it. I am going to purchase 3 pair again, but I guess I'll have to order the next size up and hope to God that they don't fall off of me.
We bought Dickie's specifically for the side pocket. The side pocket seems like it used to be a bit wider & fit a cell phone perfectly while working. The back pockets are too shallow & the phone falls out; the front pockets are too difficult to get into quickly to answer the phone before it switches to voicemail. The Dickie's blue jean carpenter pants were perfect. It's a shame they changed & a shame they're not sold in our local stores anymore. We had to switch to a different brand :(
I bought two pairs of these for my husband for work. He's up and down and walking a lot. The material was very thin for what I thought a carpenter work denim would be. The knee ripped within 3 days of him wearing them. Incredibly disappointing. We won't be purchasing any Dickies in the future.
Being a tradesman for the past 40 years I have learn to rely on jeans that stand the test of time and hold up to the wear and tear on job sites that are filled with dust, grime and grease. I still have a pair of Dickies that I purchased approx. 5 years ago and I don't want to let them go, but the wife insisted that since there were holes in the knees it was time to part with them. Maybe I can sell them online as a new design fad and make money. The comfort level in these are great, and I want a jean that I can move around in and not be bound up like regular fit jeans. The side pockets, and even the regular pockets hold up well when I'm over stuffing tools and screwdrivers into them.
This was the second batch of 6 pairs of pants I've bought. I love them, they are very comfortable have some nice features like the pockets on the side of the legs and the hammer loop. They also have generous sized pockets. They wash well and seem to shrink very little if at all.
