Works good. One thing to keep in mind if you're a beginner with this cutting-machine stuff, the FIRST time I tried using this tool I inadvertently ended scraping off some small areas of the mat's adhesive (oops), I must have had the tool angled incorrectly and/or using too much pressure or something. But now I'm careful with the tool and it works just fine.

Definitely an essential for any Cricut user. Reasonably priced at just $5! Comes in very handy when removing cut items from the mat, especially new, very sticky mats!

You will want to have this tool when cutting out several pieces on a single sheet. If you use your fingers only you will run the risk of pulling apart the paper at the edges due to how sticky the back of the mat is to make sure you get great looking items.

The spatula is a must have to remove your cutouts from the sticky mat without touching the mat with your fingers are removing the adhesive. Using the spatula also prevents the paper from curling like it does if you pull up the paper by hand. I only wish it fit in the tool kit pouch!

After investing quite a bit for the Cricut machine and cartridges (as we all have), I was trying to save a bit and do without the spatula and other tools. I finally purchased them all after using them at a friend's house. The Spatula has saved me soooo much time and effort - I think it's so useful, that it should be part of the original machine purchase. However, Walmart's pricing made this affordable and now I can spend more time crafting.
