Merkts Port Wine Natural Cheese Cheese Spread, 14 oz

This cheese spread made with sharp cheddar tastes great on crackers. I think it would be tasty in macaroni and cheese or maybe a skillet dinner and even like a warm dip with Rotel for chips. Any recipe calling for cheddar cheese would be a good place to substitute this cheese dip.

I love that Merkts delivers on that real cheese flavor in their spreads. Personally I don't find that the Port Wine has much of a difference in flavor versus the Sharp Cheddar. I would like to see that Port Wine flavor amplified a little. Visually, I do love the red swirls in this flavor. The spread is semi-firm, but smooth. Not crumbly or super creamy like others out there. It can be used in a variety of recipes that call for cheesey flavor, or of course can be enjoyed with a cracker as a simple snack. These are a great price point, as the spread stretches over many uses, so I think it's a great value. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review.

the merkts pork wine cheese spread is great. it is great to eat with crackers or putting it on a sandwich or even using it to make grilled cheese. the container does give you a lot of cheese inside of it which is really nice. my family and I were really excited to try these, and we all think they are amazing. the cheese is even great for on the go or for an midday snack. What fun to share one of my favorite cheese spreads with my friends! Whether on round crackers, butter crackers - even on scrambled eggs! We wanted to try them on burgers, but that will have to wait for when I purchase more!
