I bought these boots for a trip to Iceland in November, where it rained everyday for our entire stay. These are comfortable and kept my feet dry and warm. Best hiking boots that I have ever owned. I normally wear regular width shoes but I ordered the wide width and they are a little big for me. I wore thick wool socks and felt fine in these boots. I guess the normal size will fit fine.
I have many issues with my feet and always never fits well, but this shoe fits so well no break in. I have wide feet, bunions, so normally I have pain somewhere on my feets when I wear new shoes. This Moab 2 Mid Gore-Tex fits perfectly and also gave good arch support and good grip on rough surface when I was treckking with no pain.
This is my 2nd pair of the Moab 2 mid Gore Tex . I've never had any blisters, sores or bruising of my feet. I wore a pair of the Merrell hiking socks which had plenty of cushion. My feet stayed dry even after going through the mud and streams.
Perfect fit and comfort from the very first time. The wide is perfect and I can wear them for long distances without my toes going numb. I had tried a regular width, but needed the wide. I can't wait until the season changes And I can get into the mountains carried by my Merrill Moab boots!
Nice and comfortable from the start. Only gave four stars because although they're advertised as waterproof, when I was walking in the rain this week, I could feel a bit of water seeping in under my toes when I went through a puddle. Also if I were walking for a long time I think I'd wear gaiters because gravel and dirt can easily enter the boot from the top.
