Merrick Limited Ingredient Diet Grain-Free Real Salmon + Sweet Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food, 4 Lb

After a few years of research and trying 8 different brands of dog food… I believe we finally found one that works! I started using Merrick Dog Limited Ingredient Diet Grain Free, Salmon + Sweet Potato because one of my Golden Retrievers (male) has allergic reactions to chicken/beef proteins causing sensitive /irritated skin (hotspots) and digestive issues. We still have to give him Benadryl every day.. but.. the allergic episodes have decreased dramatically. We have tried all kinds of brands with different proteins and contents.. but we were unsuccessful. I would like to point out…that there are a lot of Dog food manufactures out there that add “questionable ingredients” to their dog foods, in my opinion…. would not be acceptable for human/dog consumption. With Merrick, I found that the ingredients and analysis clear & informative, but it was more of a relief to stabilize my dog's digestive routine, which was extremely important. Both of my Golden Retriever's (4.5 yrs male and Female) are very happy with the Merrick Brand Dog Food and treats. They are eating The Limited Ingredient Diet Grain Free, Salmon & Sweet Potato and Grain Free Healthy weight recipe. I tried high quality products for my JRT but he didn't use to like I chanced 2 brands but nothing ! Eventually i tried this food, he really liked .sometimes I m mixing with other salmon favor can food he enjoys this combination strongly recommend !!!

I buy multiple flavors and mix them to give them a more varied and complete diet. Plus we feed the the canned versions as a treat at night. They love them all and I feel good about feeding them all the Merrick products. We also have 6 Sphinx kitten that demand the cat version.

I was feeding merrick grain free, but my girl with digestive sensitivities started having some problems. Luckily, I spotted this in the isle, and we're on our third bag and doing great!
