I have a 2010 Nissan Versa Hatchback. At about 5k miles I bought a set of Mags with Michelin Hydroedge tires. I was astonished when the dealer told me of the 90k mileage on these puppies. We drove my car from Salem, Oregon to Jackson Hole, Wyoming & Yellowstone Natl Park. We have NOT had any problems at all with these amazing tires. We get a lot of rain in Oregon. My Michelins handle so gr8 and very safely in the rain it's almost uncanny. My car stops on a dime. I like these tires very much and will very likely replace them with another set just like these. Thank you Michelin !
1998 Accord, 137,000 miless. After market wheels wearing P205/65R15's. Always have puchased Michelins for my many Hondas since 1982, altogether over a million miles. Drive around town and on the Interstates, like most people. Lived in the South for 30 years, then came "back home" to Ohio in 2005. Hydroedge snow traction promise was attractive, and has been good. But the noise is driving me nuts; wet or dry, the waddle-waddle starting at about 35 mph is too much, especially on an old Honda which are known to transmit road noise. I bought these just over 6 months ago, and wish there was a way to trade back into normal Michelins that don't try to sing me to sleep as I drive.
My first set of Hydroedge went 57,000 miles on an 80,000 mile tire. Edges were first to show wear. I figured that was because the edges have about half the tread as the center. I didn't pay attention to this until I had the second set put on. I did have to have front end aligned, however all four of my original tires showed the same edge wear. I do not think I will buy a third set unless this set wears more uniformly and goes in excess of 70,000 miles. 35 lbs of air pressure recommended, so have to be sure the dealer knows that when servicing the car, even tho Ford recommends 32 lbs. I live in Montana, and have had better all season tires for the snow. Have a hard time getting up my driveway in my Ford 500 AWD after it snows very much. However, I do believe it is a quality tire and safe. I will have to check the air pressure monthly.
I love these tires! This is my second set of Hydroedge. The first set was on a Caravan and now I have a set on my Sienna. You feel extremely secure particually in rain storms however they go well in snow also. They wear like iron! I haven't had them long enough to give any mileage figures but they look like they will be around for a long time.
I'm on my second set of Hydroedge Tire on my car (2001 Ford Taurus SES). They performed so well that I bought an exact replacement set. Overall, the most notable features of this tire on my car are improved handling and increased confidence in stopping on wet surfaces. These tires have also seemed to improve fuel economy and efficiency, as long as you properly maintain them (eg. rotation and keep at proper pressure).
