Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Max Performance Exceptional performance for drivers that demand precise sport handling. A Max Performance Summer tire member, the Pilot Sport PS2, is a part of the Michelin Pilot family with low profile, high-speed tires. Originally designed for Original Equipment (O.E.) on some of the most esteemed sports cars and performance sedans, the Pilot Sport PS2 blends world-class handling, cornering, and dry road traction. The Pilot Sport PS2 is not designed to be driven through snow, on ice, or in close to freezing temperatures. Internally, the Pilot Sport PS2 contains a tread design that is sustained by two high-tensile, lightweight steel cord belts. These belts are further fortified by size-optimized, accurately placed individual Aramid/nylon hybrid filaments that allow improved steering response and resistance to distortion all while enhancing ride quality and high-speed durability. Externally, the tire has two different tread rubber compounds molded into an asymmetric design. Both tread compounds are uniquely designed for their location to blend wet/dry traction with high-speed capability and crisp corning. Wide circumferential grooves and lateral notches that help channel water through the footprint to enhance wet road traction are features of the tread design.
