I replaced the run flats that came on my Mini with the Pilot Sports regular ( no run flat). They are much quieter and less harsh than the run flats. They have a pretty aggressive tread and I find them great in corners. I do think I now have a slight oversteer that I didn't have with the run flats.

I have used Michelin tires when possible since owning a 1964 Pontiac GTO convertible in 1967. Look good, great tread, excellent wear and longevity. These Pilots came with my Mazda 6 V-6 in 2010. Grip is extraordinary. So much that I have not yet been successful testing the actual limits. After reading a car magazine review that stated that the Michelin Pilot changed the least in performance from dry to wet I have been pushing this limit. Never even a slight mishap. One drawback: these are definitely not snow tires; too wide. Otherwise you could not ask for grippier more versatile tires that last a long time. Also not very expensive, for what you get.

Replaced two rear tires with the original pilots that came with the porsche boxster. Thought that the pilots were too expensive. replacement tires lasted about 13,000 miles and never felt as good as the Michelins. Bringing the Michelin's back has been a godsend. I notice it most when getting off the expressway and I am able to hug the cloverleaf at a much higher speed.

It is extremely unusual when a product you buy and the dealer that sells it to you both exceed your expectations. I am 65 years old and have been buying tires for. Long time I have always received more than my money's worth with the Michelin tires I have used, i have no intention on changing what isn't broken, as long as I keep rolling if Michelin makes a tire for it, I will have them.

I have been a fan of Michelin tires for a long time now. I have used many brands and it seems that Michelin tires give the best performance and ride of any tire I have used. If they have a down side I would say it would be the price as they are a little more expensive than the other brands. I do think in this case you are getting what you pay for though and that is why I always buy Michelin. I would have to say I have told my tire stories to many of my friends and several of them now use Michelin.
