I had to watch a video but I figured it out how to work it. I do appreciate having the two already ready and pulled through with the thread and love how they gave me an extra piece to practice on. It's fantastic not powerful and scary as soon as I got practice and I just got it today! Thanks again! Fast shipping threading it through and giving the practice piece it really helped! So excited. It is small but it's just what I wanted! I tried to show how small with a pair of scissors in case anyone wanted to know.

So far, it's working great as a "first" machine for my Granddaughter. She is making Barbie clothing for her dolls. No back-stitch and no stitch length abilities but that will come when she is ready to move up to a more advanced machine. Great sale price and came with electric scissors and thread pack.

Good value for the cost. The machine is not too difficult to figure out. Look for a how-to video on youtube for better instructions than what the paper instructions say. It works well and does the job. I have not tested it on very thick or heavy material yet, though. Sewing kit gives you all you need and is a generous addition. The automatic scissors is the weakest link. It requires batteries which are not included, and getting into the battery section is difficult- you must slightly wedge something under the back to pop it straight out.

It's small enough to set at kitchen table or desk and sew and not take up much room and small enough to fit in the box and stored under bed when not using,It's very light weight. It's great for small projects, it can be pedal or hand operated overall it's a great little sewing machine, I haven't had any problems from mine and I have had it for several weeks and it works great for what I bought it for which is to hem up clothes and small crafts for my kids.

The small size wouldn't have bothered me but after using this machine for less than an hour it jammed. The tension was way off at that point and no amount of rethreading, adjusting tension, and rebobbining would correct the issue to allow me to continue. If this had worked I would have used it as the straight stitch would have been enough. I'm very lucky that I was given a new Project runway Brother machine and it is amazing! No tension issues no rethreading every other minute. If this machine is only being used for small projects/ mending and it actually works for you I guess it's ok to take the chance for the smaller price tag. But I enjoy having a reliable machine now so I will never try this machine again as I returned it. Thread that comes with accessories was cheap, but I loved the tape measured and automatic scissors. Although a good pair of fabric scissors would be faster and easier.
