Software on this phone definitely needs upgraded along with the processor, but the design is ahead of it's time. It's definitely a must have for multitaskers, buisness people and all around productivity. It takes a couple of days to get used to having it in your hand, but once you do then sky is the limit.
I love the phone it's got some pretty cool features but it's still so new it does have some issues. It lags a little and the screens get touchy now and then. I'd still buy it again tho and maybe updates will fix some of the issues
The Surface Duo has enormous potential, unfortunately the software of how Microsoft works with two screens means that you are left with a device that only functions well if you either desire to only use one of the two screens or only want to use the handful of apps optimized for the Duo. Even in apps like the Kindle which use both screens for reading (awesome) it falls apart if you want to use it to read a comic book. Seems like a no brainer to have one page on each screen right? Nope, doesn't work, and the hinge down the middle means you lose pixels in the center of the page which makes reading or watching things that span the hinge extremely unpleasent.
So far the Surface Duo has out done the Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Not only does it have a bigger surface to work on, but you can work on two things at once. The size when folded is still small enough to put in a purse, large jacket pocket, some pants pockets, backpack, etc.
I loved the product, loved the feel and the engineering. I just couldn't get past the software. Everything I needed to do was so counterintuitive. When you needed to take a quick picture or flip to answer a call, everything was slow, confusing or cumbersome. I get the feeling that it just a version 2 to come out and address all these user issues. It's too bad because I wanted to love this device.
