We had two of these for years and they NEVER failed us but when my parents divorced my dad took them with him. We ordered another one finally a couple weeks ago and we used it. The first batch of bacon was perfect. Then the second batch we had to stop the microwave because we smelled something weird and low and behold it had melted the entire bottom of the bacon maker and the things that hold the bacon. We ended up writing the company and they said it was a "man-made disaster and that we shoudlnt have put it in the microwave", how else are we supposed to use the bacon maker if we can't put it in the microwave?
This was $13.99 on the site but they charged me over $25?! The shipping was free so why was I charged so much?!
Works great. Easiest way to cook bacon.
