Midland HH54VP2 - Weather alert radio

Radio only works when plugged into a/c outlet. This is the second straight time with the same issue, I am done with the ship to store option.

My S.A.M.E. radio came promptly and works as advertised. I have no complaints.

This product will be used during campouts with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. It's well made and works extremely well. Because we will be camping different areas I have opted not to utilize the SAME feature.

This is a nice little radio with lots of features. Unfortunately I had to return it as it did not receive any signal inside my RV. Worked fine when I stepped outside, but I mainly wanted it for overnight warnings while in the RV. Did not even receive signal when held up to window. The instuction book warns that it might not be as effective inside a mobile home because of metal exterior.

This is my 5th weather radio that I have owned & the 3rd portable. I have always used an Oregon Scientific but after using this Midland, I think I will never buy another brand. Very easy to use, travel mode works great. Speaker is very loud, having it set on voice alert it still has a nice tone before-hand to get your attention faster. The only complaint that I have is the antenna strength is not the best (hisses a lil bit) but it does the job & does it well!
