Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix 2-pack - Black

New to plants and this was the first soil I bought. My plants are doing okay but like many have mentioned, I had a gnat infestation. Still trying to get rid of them. I wondered where they came from because I bought one plant online and didn't repot it for months and never saw a gnat. The plant has never been outside and it's my only one. Not a great first experience with this product.

This is the first Miracle Grow product that I've been unhappy with. I bought FOUR large cubic feet bags - for all my pots & a few inground new perennials. It is absorbing too much water - the planters are requiring daily (at least!) soaking watering. These are large planters, filled with quality items & it's been a nightmare trying to keep the plants from wilting - and it's still May in New England. Upset.

We have bought the same product year after year for all our potted plants and flower boxes this year. The product is not at all like it used to be very heavy with Pete Moss wood another strange pieces of material that almost look like fuzz. Really not What we expected doubtful we will purchase again.

Very disappointed in this potting mix takes more time to remove wood than transplanting my plants.

I bought 2 big bags of this last year. I unknowing was killing my petunias because this stuff never died out enough for them! I almost lost a Hosta for the same reason. I'm just glad I didn't plant anything else in this stuff. Still have one bag left that I'm going to try adding some amendments to and hopefully fix whatever you put too much of in these bags. I have always bought Miracle Gro products, including this moisturizer control soil. Never had this problem 20 years ago!
