I was looking for something I could move in and out of the bathtub and this is sturdy as well as lightweight. Takes up very little room out of the tub, fits behind a towel rack. I would not recommend for anyone who might be very unstable with balance, because of it's weight. The only thing that could use improvement is the shower head holder. With water pressure the shower head tends to want to jump out of the holder. Maybe a litter deeper because some shower heads are made large or of metal and don't balance well.
We don't have a lot of storage space in our shower or our bathroom. Because the seat folds compactly, we are able to store it next to the shower stall. We haven't used it in the shower yet, but it's close by should we need it.
As for so many items for the disabled, they are hard and uncomfortable. This product was a soft sling mesh type material and wide for comfort. It also folds up so it can be out of the way and easy for traveling. Great product.
When you need a little help in the shower this gives you more independence. A little too big to to fit in a suitcase but a lot less cumbersome than most shower chairs.
This is a fine product, well put together and nice looking, but it was too big and bulky for our shower, so we returned it.
