Moon Sand Kit

We've had this product for over a year now and it's still in great shape. I got it originally for 7 year old daughter. It stayed put up and only come on out special occations...when her little brothers were sleeping or gone. Now, one little brother is 3 and I experimented with the two of them playing and he loves it! It's quality is better than play-doh as this never dries out, but you can't really mix different colors while playing (um...it's sand). The carry case is nice too, it's the only thing we've kept it in for the year...The 'sand box' is a little small for two to work in, but great for just one!

My daughter loves this package. she plays with the sand and uses the molds and pad. great idea having the carrier. I would recommend having a small sand box type thing to play with it though. Like any other sand, it will get all over if not confined or get dirty if played with in dirt or etc. Want to buy more in more colors. Love this stuff!

My daughter begged for this stuff for months. I held out until Christmas as I had my doubts about it. She loves it and plays with it more than just about anything else. Very little mess at all, everythings stored in one spot, and it definately encourages creative play.

While my kids absolutely LOVE the moonsand, I have to say that the product is difficult to keep control of. The so-called "inflatable sandboxes" that come with the product are useless and might actually cause more trouble than save. If you buy yourself your own shallow but wide plastic storage container (we bought one that would fit under a bed) and keep the sand and utensiles in that, its actually not that bad to keep control over the mess. With strict rules and keen supervision, the moonsand can be a fun toy for the kids without a huge mess for the parents.

This is the worst product ever. I would not recommend it to ANYONE. My daughter got it for Christmas and was very excited to play with it on Christmas Day. She's 4 years old. It was a disaster. It didn't mold, it fell apart, and it stuck to her hands. I'd much rather have Play-Doh.
