I'm pretty happy with the set and they are quite beautiful. If you've got sensitive skin to certain surfaces it might not feel so good washing them like say a smooth corelle plate. They are also quite heavy and if you don't like your food mixing it might be a problem because they aren't flat. I like them but I thought I'd mention those possible issues for anyone that might want to know.

My daughter received this as a Christmas present for her 1St apartment. She loved them. They have an asian flair and are very well made. They are heavy stoneware and the colors are a matte black with a light lavendar flower design. They are different and can be used for everyday dining or set a beautiful table for guest. As far as durability...we will see how they hold up. I wanted stoneware because they can be used in the microwave without burning your hands when heated. Great dishes, I would purchase again. They were shipped site to store and arrived perfect.

I needed to order two sets of this product and only one was available. So I decided to order it because I have been trying to get the dishes for many months and wanted to see what they look like in person. When I actually opened the box I was very disappointed. The black ran over the white on the bases for a sloppy look. The dishes are very dull in color, unlike the picture. They are thick porcelean and look as though they will chip easily. They do not look nearly as elegant in the picture. I am however, keeping the set and ordering a second one because they are different than what you will find in the store. Also, we know the law of supply and demand.... That may be the reason why this product has been so successful.

This set is really sharp and is just as nice as it looks online. I highly recommend this product. When I ordered this set I thought it was a corelle brand, and when I received it, I noticed that it was a Gibson brand. I was a little upset until I opened the box and felt the quality was good, sturdy, and rich looking.

I had been looking for a new dinner set for a while, and decided to look here at Walmart. I'm glad I did because I found this set, and quickly decided that I wanted it. I love the pattern, and even though the flowers are grayish, it doesn't take away from the dishes.
