Moultrie Rechargeable 6-Volt, 5Amp Lead Acid Rechargeable Safety Battery For Feeders

Batteries when received were fully charged. That's not normally the case, so tried to charge, but not necessary. Cover can be removed to trickle charge and the separation is important to avoid contact across posts. We'll have to see how long they last.

1. The nonstandard battery terminals to not allow for a solid connection to the feeders alligator clips. 2. The unusual terminals make this battery impossible to use in any other 6V powered device.

Have one and the solar panel on my Moultrie feeder for the last two years and never had an issue. Still at 100% for two solid years and never had to charge it. Solid battery. Glad to have a new feeder for this one too.

I ordered this before I knew of the 6-volt to 4 D-cell converter that Walmart carries. I bought two of those. I also ordered from another company the 6volt SLA battery but it was also just a little to big. Just 1/16 or 1/32 of an inch to big. This one also has the terminals different than standard 6-volt cells. It is probably a good battery, but I never got to use it. The converter works perfect, I am sticking with that from now on.

With a name like Moultrie it has to be Good ! Love the safety top. Last Moultrie battery lasted for many years.
