Expected a much less built unit compared to Modine. Unit when opened up as to convert over to LP gas was well constructed. Extremely well written directions for the process and ready for install. Already referred three others as to purchases that these are inexpensive though not junk. Hope this helps a few hesitations out there. Zero reason to. And I trust Northern tool not to jerk me around.

I ordered this thermostat along with my Big Max heater I bought from Northern. Heater is great, thermostat not so much. The picture shows a minimum setting of 35 F, the one I received starts at 55 F. It can be 40 degrees in my shop, but I have to turn it up to 70 before it will kick the heater on, then the heater runs until it is nearly 80 before it shuts off. I purchased a simple thermostat at my local hardware store for less than 1/2 what I paid for this one, that works much better than this one from Mr. Heater. Don't waste your money on this very cheaply made inaccurate overpriced piece of junk.

This thermostat is what you list for my Garage Heater but it is no better than the Honeywell thermostat that I currently have installed and working properly. It is not a 24volt thermostat with an adjustable heat anticipator. It does not operate the heater properly and has no adjustability for heat anticipation as required by the instructions from Mr. Heater / Enerco. I will be requesting an RMO for this unit. It is sold as the correct thermostat but is not.

I ordered this Thermostat to go with the heater as it is recommended and has the same brand name (Mr. Heater) but it is totally cheap, and does not work. It will not turn off the heat when the temp far surpasses the set temperature. Defective out of the box. I installed a simple heat only digital thermostat and it works much better. Do not order this thermostat.

Thermostat is very basic, but seems it works well. The only thing I don’t like about it is it does not have an “off” position, so if you put it in a shop that can get below 50 degrees, then the heater is continually running. I will probably end up replacing later this winter.
