Murray Select 14" Attachment Capable 25cc 2-Cycle Straight Shaft Gas String Trimmer

Worst piece of garden equipment I have ever bought. Worked OK ish for first season but the trigger was always off. Normally full on means full on. With this you had to balance the trigger. Got progressively worse and now wont start at all. If i could give this item 0 stars I would. I will never buy MUrray product again

great product..very easy to put together and use

I purchased the Murray 2650 line trimmer due to the excellent price three years ago. I had a Craftsman trimmer, which I believe is precisely the same machine but different paint and trim, and it worked great as well. We moved across several states and I had to leave a few things behind. The Craftsman trimmer was one of these. My main desire was to have not only a line trimmer but an edger attachment as well. The model 2650 had this ability, just as my Craftsman did. Now for my history with this machine. It has started each and every time when cold after 3 pulls. After warming up or being used for a bit it starts immediately! It has never given a moments problem throughout these past three years and I am absolutely knocked out with the reliability. Three years ago the price was merely $89.00 and the edger attachment was about $45.00. Times have changed and the price has gone up steeply. Even so, I feel this will be a good purchase for anyone needing an easy to use product that has medium duty needs. The edger works the most for my yard. We have tons of sidewalk and this little guy takes care of it beautifully. In closing I have to say the Murray model 2650 line trimmer is absolutely a best buy.

This is by far the worst product Murray has ever come out with. I wish i had read the reviews before i bought this weedeater. Im now getting ready to return the second one. Starts like a dream just wont run for nothing. The head barely spins and more so gums grass instead of actually cutting it. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY OR EFFORT ON THIS WEEDEATER!

I've had this a little over a year and am returning it today. It starts just fine but takes about fifteen minutes to warm up enough to use. Now even after starting it the head won't turn when the throttle is pressed. It's like there's a missed connection somewhere. After a while of continuous revving it will finally start to spin. I read another review that said the gearbox is poorly designed, so that might be the issue. I don't understand why people think these heads are better than a spool/bump head, because you'll spend more time changing out line on these. I'm returning mine and going back to a bump head. Also, it tangles very easily on the exposed part of the shaft. I had to carry some pliers in my pocket to pull the grass out constantly.
