Dossier Musky Gaiac Eau De Parfum, Inspired by Le Labo Fragrances' Gaiac 10, Unisex Perfume, 1.7 oz

I tried to smell the Le Labo original in store but I couldn't smell anything! Maybe because the store itself had too many scents happening? Anyways I'm glad I was able to try this version, especially because this is a Tokyo exclusive scent, so my opportunities to try this is very limited. As the title states, this is a woody scent but it's not too in your face and pretty subtle. It's a nice unisex scent that I wouldn't reach for all the time but I'm glad to have this in my collection. As for it being true to the authentic version? It's hard for me to say but I guess it's a plus I can actually smell this one on me.

This is a great dupe for the Gaiac 10! I will say it has a little bit more of a Smokey/leather base note than the original, but on the plus side this lasts longer than Gaiac 10 which you could hardly smell after 2-3 hours, and for me was the one reason it was not worth buying. This still has that initial intoxicating Gaiac musk which is what made me fall in love with Gaiac 10 in the first place.

I love the scent of musky Gaiac, and so far it seems to have decent longevity. My only complaint is that the bottle leaked inside the packaging. There is oily spotches on the cardboard packaging, and the bottle feels Slick with an oily substance. I don't think I lost a huge amount, but I don't indulge in items like this for myself very often, so I would like it to be in perfect condition.

I bought this blind because the same perfumer who designed the Le Labo scent that inspired this perfume created my all-time favorite (Bvlgari Black). Like Musky Gaiac, it is a unique and strangely comforting scent. It does remind me of being in humid cities in Asia with street food and temple scents mingling in alleys. Love it.

Love this fragrance! So unique and like no perfume I've even smelled. It reminds me of stepping outside in the fall when everyone has their fireplace on for the first time. I do wish the scent was a little bit stronger and lasted longer. It usually takes 4 to 5 spritzers, and only last for a couple of hours. All of my other fragrances from Dossier last much longer than this one. This is my new favorite for winter!!
