Very easy to assemble, instructions very easy to understand. It did have some minor damage, wood glue and Clamps, solved the issue, and was able to assemble with no problems. There is an odor in the bench, I believe it's a glue type odor, I will be airing it out and see if it disapates, other than the smell inside the bench, I am very happy with the product.

I guess you get what you pay for. After waiting three extra weeks due to back order issues, my husband and I began the process of assembling the hall tree. The top shelf had a major split in the wood. However instead of returning the unit my husband felt that it could be repaired with wood glue and clamping. The assembly process took FOUR HOURS. Directions were poorly written and much of the assembly was guess work only to taken apart and redone. Assembly definitely required two people to assemble - one person to hold multiple pieces together as the other person screwed pieces together. Final product looks ok, but very cheap piece of furniture.

This bench was more than I expected. The quality is good, easy to put together, and arrived in a timely manner. It looks great in my walk in closet and I love how I can store all my hat/mittens inside the bench. The only thing I would comment on in a negative way is the distance between the hooks and the bench isn't long enough, so the winter coats sit on top of the bench. No big deal, really....better than hanging them on a hangar!

The unit is all that we expected for the price and perfect size. Kind of trying the put together but my wife and made it a fun project. The only complain I have is the color. The description indicated the it was white but when we got the unit the color was an off white (Naples white). We wanted the bright white that was shown on the website.

This hall tree was the perfect one for us. It is just over 5 feet high and I think our kids will reach their coats on it just fine. I'm also using it as their toy chest so our front room isn't littered with toys! The lid of the chest closes softly and stays open with the springs provided very nicely. But, plan on 2 people to assemble this piece. Also, someone with some strength. My husband had to get a small hand saw to help one of the wooden pegs fit into one of the pre-made holes... also I HIGHLY suggest skipping STEP 5, and doing it LAST. Step 5 is screwing in the chest's floor or inner base, which you can't see until you open the lid. Adding this piece so early on made another piece crack. We learned that the whole unit needs to shift with each piece as it is assembled (naturally) and the chest's floor piece kept that from being able to happen - thus the crack. Also, be careful not to tighten screws and such too tight or their may be more cracks. Overall, very nice piece for the price and very comparable price to others on the market. It beautiful and well worth the time to assemble!
