National Hardware - V29A Maxlatch Self Adjusting Gate Latch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this latch for a storage shed gate in our backyard. The latch itself is made well and thick enough to hold up over time. It was a breeze to install and it worked exactly like we had hoped it would.

The gate latches don't work have th e time any more. You would not believe how many different kinds of latches they offer. After looking at some online. Some of them look very cheap and a pain to put together. We decided to go with a simple design and one that we know will work better than the some we looked at.

I really like that it's made of stainless steel and compensating latch with floating bar that adjusts to compensate for over a 1/2 inch of gate sag. It was very easy to install, directions were easy to understand, and love the WeatherGuard protection for corrosion resistance and rust. It is designed for right or left hand applications as well. I love that it can be padlocked for added security, and I am extremely happy with this product, and think it is a high quality product I would highly recommend to others!

It was very easy to install. Really like the free floating latch. It is great for when things swell and shift in the spring and winter time here in the northeast US. Allows leeway for the latch to still close. Very high quality product. Extremely happy with it.
