Decided to buy this for my son at christmas time. I don't normally write reviews, however this product is junk. The parts are "internal" are cheap, the spring is weak. Both the original and the "replacement" functioned the same. It's way to large for children. If your 13 and up it might be okay. However I can guarantee you no normal 13+ year old kid will want this. By normal I mean a child who like a toy that works, if you have a child who loves it when you buy them broken toys, this is right up your alley. it shoots,... sometimes. Other times the darts will loft out and hit the ground a few feet in front of you. Just a very cheaply made toy to look the part but doesn't hold up, or even function from the start. Assembly was semi-easy. However, if your older and want to give this to your grand child for a present. Take a day or two and put it together. If your handy and are able to quickly understand mechanic of a specific item without going into huge great detail. You should be fine. Overall I'd say it's a deal at 9.99 and under. Pay anything more for it and you might as well put your money in the toilet. I'd say buy something differnt. Cool looking isn't always cool performing...

This is an average to fair nerf gun. I personally had to return the gun five times because of its habbit of shredding my darts. (I bought both the whiteout series and regular blue) Dont be fooled like me to buy the whiteout because of its new paint job. The internals of the blue looks similar not if identical but the blue is more sturdy. The average range I got per each gun with barrel off straight was 10-18ft.. arc was 20-30ft.. But if you attach the barrel the range goes completely down. The concept of a nerf sniper was nice, with the longshot, but when nerf made a slimmer more movable sniper the range and accuracy went down. Darts seem to fish tall out of the gun alot. So please dont waste your money and time, choose a different nerf weapon. BTW (The deploy also a clip system is even worst then this gun.)

I bought this and was very disappointed. it barely shoots as far as the maverick, and is very inaccurate. It says it is a sniper, but has horrible accuracy. The barrel attachment does nothing, in fact it makes things worse. In all, it can talk the talk but not walk the walk.

The part I like most about it is how it looks!!!! I suggest taking off the barrel extension because it slows the dart down to where it shoots to about 5ft. I wish it had the scope like the previous sniper, all it has is a stupid pop up target. I never use it for shooting because it doesn't have enough power for my liking. I just use it for pretend play.
