Neutrogena Build-A-Tan Gradual Sunless Lotion, 6.7 oz

I have used many different products and have found the Neutrogena Build-a-Tan Sunless lotion to be the best product on the market. This has the most natural look of any other product and it goes on easily and gives you a healthy tan look without the danger of the sun's rays. I would recommend it to anyone.

Very natural looking, works great if you continue to smear it around thoroughly even after it's dry for no streaking. Does not even streak in a pool or shower if applied properly. Cannot stand how it smells after it dries – smells like a tanning salon, burnt skin, even after a shower the next day!

I've been laying in the sun for 45 years. After years of my husband nagging me about it I stopped. This Spring I saw Christin Chenoweth on The Ellen Show and she credited Neutrogena Build-A-Tan for her great tan. I tried it and am thrilled with my results. The sunless tanner I tried last year was good, but not nearly as good as this product.

As a fair-skinned redhead, I know that EVERYTHING on the market leaves an orange hue. This is not something you can use daily and not look orange. My recommendation for legs: use a combination of regular lotion/daily moisturizer AND this self-tanner for a streak-free tan on your legs. Put half and half in your hand and swirl them together to mix them evenly, and then put it on your legs. You HAVE to RUB IT IN REALLY WELL. Seriously, rub it in for a good 2 minutes. It's time consuming, but its worth it. Let it air dry a little bit before putting on clothes, too. This gives you color but its much more subtle than just the lotion on its own, and it makes the product last longer while still allowing you to build a tan, even with showering. For the rest of your skin: make sure you use this right after you get out of the shower otherwise your skin won't absorb it well enough. Again, for an even look, the trick is to RUB IT IN and try to use an even amount everywhere. It's also good to stretch the areas you're putting it on so you don't have splotches.

I have very fair skin so the tanning lotion was so noticeable and looked fake. I also have huge dark lines on my feet and neck. Bottom line is you have to be careful when you apply, almost too careful. With the Build-A-Tan mistakes are easy and on fair skin they are very noticeable.
