Nice point and shoot camera. Has been out 6 yrs, but the technology is still up to date. 40x optical zoom is the main reason for buying. One "quirk", when you pick up the camera, you have to be careful how you hold it. Pressing the wrong area will quickly turn it on, even when you didn't plan on it. Not a great "feature".
So far, with only a few pictures made, we are happy with the Nikon B500. All the images were great!
I love the camera for product shoots. Once you learn when to use the optical zoom and when to use the digital you're off and running. The 5 second timer means no shake when the picture is snapped and the batteries seem to last forever.
we use this camera in our business , we take a lot of pictures with this camera and we got it to replace the same camera we had for several years, easy to use and compact very happy with this camera
I love this camera! I take mostly moon pics and it takes pretty impressive pictures for a starter camera. This camera has all the features that I need. My friends are always impressed with the pictures I take. I love being able to put the pictures straight to my phone. $217 well spent
