product description includes one ice blue nintendo ds hardware, brain age: train your brain in minutes a day! and a carrying case. give your gray matter the workout that it needs! brain age: train your brain in minutes a day is inspired by research conducted by professor ryuta kawashima, a prominent japanese neuroscientist. his theories revolve around keeping your brain “young” by performing certain mental activities quickly. work that brain! the title is a series of minigames designed to give your brain a workout. activities include performing simply math problems, counting people going in and out of a house, drawing pictures on the touch screen, and reading classic literature out loud. when you start a new game, you will take a series of testes and get a score that shows your “ds brain age. as you use the software, your in-game brain age will drop. check on family and friends. you can keep up to four save files on one game card – sharing a game allows you to compare your results with those of family and friends. (you might even get a look at one of their pictures!) you can also send a demo version of the title to friends or compete with up to 16 players in a battle to see who can solve math problems the fastest! (both downloadable modes are local wireless only, not on the nintendo wi-fi connection). amazon.com modern handheld gaming has long been dominated by nintendo and sony. each hardware manufacturer has multiple viable offerings derived either directly, or evolving from the respective ds and playstation portable product lines. all of these devices are impressive multifunctional devices, with designs meant to encourage gameplay on the go, integration with the internet, backwards compatibility to previous games, and so on, but each goes about this in different ways. taking a few minutes to examine the main features, and getting more familiar with available options, accessories and possible limitations of each handheld is the optimal way to determine which is the best choice for... limited edition ice blue nintendo ds lite includes carrying case brain age: train your brain in minutes a day! get up to 19 hours continuous gameplay on one charge twin ultra bright lcd screens that combine crisp, punchy colors, along with touch-screen technology on the lower screen

I really like the NDS system. This is my first handheld gaming system, and it's pretty decent. The screens could be a little larger, for people with bad eyes. Overall, it's better than the two-tone display the GameBoy had. Now...where's TETRIS so I can call it a day!

I was a little leery about getting the DS but now that I have the whole family plays. My 7 year old daughter takes it with her to all my other daughters practices and swim meets. She is totally entertained! I do recommend buying the accessory kit from Wal-Mart also.

bought this as a christmas gift for my 6 yr. old because it was a good deal, offering a 2nd game of choice. the brain age game was going to be more for me and i love it, lots of fun. love the color, so does she. great product for kids and adults! the case it comes with is small, but nice and enough to hold a couple game cartridges with it.

The Nintendo DS is lots of fun for any age. We gave it to our 11 year old daughter for Christmas, and we have all enjoyed it. It is lightweight, easy to use and small enough to take anywhere. We travel during the holidays to spend time with family and carried the Nintendo DS with us. My daughter was able to play during the trip, which kept her occupied so we didn't hear "Are we there yet?" like we usually do on trips. I do recommend purchasing a screen protector it helps cut down on the scratches to the screen. HotShoppingMama

The color was very different then any other I have ever seen. It was for my daughter who just turned 7 Christmas present but it came on her birthday so we gave it to her at her party the next day. She loves it. I had to get a few other games because the game that comes with it is for someone alot older. And it didn't work when you spoke into it for one of the games on it. I think it was the game and not the DS. I haven't had another game that we had to use our voice yet so I am not sure. But all in all we do like it alot.
