Was awesome to start! But take apart and wash everything in dishwasher...3 times, and the top plastic part lost its grib. So my 1 year old would take it off and chew. I dont recommend this for someone who wants sanitary drinking cups for their kids :(
My toddler has had this cup for nearly a year. We love it. However we need a replacement straw. I hope the cup we just bought our son lasts just as long.
Our twin boys love these cups! They don't leak and they hold quite a bit of fluids. The downside is that I am having trouble with mold growing between the blue outside coating and the plastic cup. The mold isn't inside with the liquids, but the fact that there is mold in their cups really does get annoying. Also, our boys have chewed through one of our three straws. Therefore causing it to leak. I haven't been able to find replacement straws for them.
I purchased this cup for my son a few months ago. We just started transitioning from the bottle and have tried using this straw cup for about the last week. He absolutely hates it because it's so much work to get any liquid out at all. I have tried sucking on the straw myself, and as an adult, I even have a hard time getting any liquid. I'm not sure if this is dud or if all the Nuk straw bottles are like this, but it is impossible to use, and I am so very disappointed. I have looked to see if I could buy alternative Nuk lids, but it doesn't seem that the lids are sold separately. Will have to toss this cup out.
The cup itself is great, its rugged and tough and has stood up to being dropped many many times, even on the sidewalk while going for walks. However, after only one week of use, kiddo bit the straw off, making an otherwise great sippy entirely useless. I have since "fixed" it by replacing it with a Munchkin mighty grip replacement straw, but as those are obviously meant for these cups, it leaks just a little.
