I love that I was able to review the 3 pack of Nuk pacifiers with my son. My son is not a baby who needs a pacifier all the time, but loves to have one when he is sleepy or fussy. When he gets cranky or fussy and he gets his pacifier, it just calms him right down. Many times after a few sucks, he will start to close his eyes and fall asleep. The design is very easy for me as a parent to find, pick up and put in his mouth. It is also nice to see that the pacifier has a curve under the nose so that it doesn't rub up against the bottom of his nose. I especially loved that one of the pacifiers came with a glow in the dark handle that made it so much easier to find at night! I love having the looped handle because I can always hook it around my fingers so that I don't drop it when I pick up my son. I must say that the handle is a great place for baby to grab and pull out of his mouth though! I also love the fact that the pacifiers are orthodontic and will not affect his teeth when they start coming in. I also liked the fact that they came in a three pack as it was easy to leave one in his car seat, one on his bed for the night time and one in his diaper bag as a back up to the one in his car seat because I am not very good with keeping up with just one and remembering to always grab it. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for giving me the opportunity to review such a wonderful product!
My baby is three months old and has been exclusively breastfed. She's just started trying to suck her thumb and we're hoping to encourage her to use something else for comfort, given that our 2.5 year old is still thumb sucking regularly. We've been trying out various pacifiers and so far, she's held this one in her mouth longer than the others, which have been more rounded nipples. If I give it to her when she's already fussy, she seems to spit it out almost immediately, however if I give it to her when she's just seeming like she wants to chill out a little, she holds it for a couple of minutes so far. However she's trying to suck on it, usually pushes it out, perhaps it has something to do with how she's used to nursing. I really liked the subtle glow in the dark feature on these to make them easier to find at night. I also appreciate that you can attach a pacifier clip to the looped handle, so they don't fall to the floor so much. I don't know why, but the clear pacifier nipple gives me more comfort, like I will see easier if it's dirty. I'm not really into the pictures on the pacifiers, I prefer a solid color, but that's just my personal preference. I think the value of these pacifiers is acceptable and I wouldn't feel really put out if these didn't work for my child. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with the NUK pacifier pack.
With my first son, we tried every brand of pacifier and realized the Nuk brand was the way to go. I stocked up on Nuk pacifiers when my second son was born and I was thrilled to receive this product as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. This is the only brand he has used. The value pack is more than worth it. I often leave a bunch of pacifiers in the crib at bed and nap time. My son will hold on to the extra ones as "security". With the value pack, the "extra" one can be stashed in the car seat. The pacifiers are appropriately age defined and mold perfectly to their mouths. I always include Nuk pacifiers in gifts for my friends having babies.
Teaching my child how to self-soothe is a high priority for me. I always knew I'd want to use a pacifier with him. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this pacifier pack to be able to try out and review the Nuk pacifiers. My son came five weeks early. As a preemie, his head was a bit smaller than most babies. The plastic mouthpiece of the pacifier was a little too large at first, but once he got a little bigger, it fit just fine. Once he was able to use it, it helped to calm him down easily. He's only 2.5 months, so he's still mastering keeping a pacifier in, but seems to do much better with this one. I think it's due to the curved nipple unlike the straight nipple pacifiers. Anything that helps so I don't have to continually put it back in his mouth is a major plus! However, at times it isn't always easy for him to recognize that it is in his mouth due to how small the nipple is. I've learned to rub it across his tongue and/or gums to help him. Also, I loved that the pack came with three pacifiers. You misplace these so easily, so it's nice to have three. It makes it so I can always find at least one (and as an added bonus the designs are very cute)! The loop handle and glow-in-the-dark features also make life just that much easier. I feel like I have something to grab onto to help him with the pacifier and he'll soon be able to utilize that himself. The glow-in-the-dark detail is especially helpful at night. I don't feel like I have to move him around and stumble in the night to try and find his pacifier. As far as keeping them clean, hot water works great, but you just have to make sure to squeeze any leftover water out of the nipple (it'll come out the plastic mouthpiece). Finally, Nuk definitely is one of the best bang-for-your-buck pacifiers. The three pack is well-priced (cheaper than most) and is high quality. I definitely recommend Nuk pacifiers to fellow parents often!
I was thrilled to see the three pack of these Nuk pacifiers because my first baby loved Nuks! However, to each their own... my new baby did not care for these one bit! The mouthpiece is very, very small, so I think it was just too small for him to keep in his mouth - he is a big boy (8 lbs 1 oz at birth and growing FAST to nearly 14 lbs at 6.5 weeks! But very tall and thin - he has a wide mouth and I just think these weren't the right fit for him. I love the looped handle feature - it makes it so much easier to grab them without touching the mouthpiece, and it also makes it easier to add a pacifier clip to them. I just hate they didn't work well for us this time! I did receive this three-pack in exchange for my honest review as a part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, which I have provided.
