I think this is a great dog food! My dog Amy, is 17 years old and the size of the kibbles are tiny enough for her to eat them. She has really enjoyed this brand/type of dog food. I really wanted my dog to like this food - she's so picky so anytime i try something new, i hope "this is it".. but this wasn't the case with Nutro Wholesome Essentials. I tried it several times, slowly mixing it in with her current food - even added chicken broth to it a few times and she didn't go near it. The colors on the packaging is nice - the sealable package is a good idea, but the bag is pretty tall so its kind of awkward to use the pourable feature. To be fair, my dog is extremely picky when it comes to dry dog food and gets bored very easily so i wasn't surprised that she didn't particularly care for this one. The moment the box arrived with the Nutro Healthy Weight Adult Dog Food, Bella was trying to open the outside cardboard box. This is amazing as I have two very fussy mini dachshunds (Bella and Loki). They normally turn their noses up at dog food, dry or canned. They would only eat people food or dry cat food. I wanted to try this one because of both what is in it (real food) and what is not (fillers). It also looked to be the right size for easy eating and digesting.
